Our Mission

The Muslim Students’ Association (MSA) at the University of Waterloo seeks to create a community that is open and dynamic, which caters to the best interests of all Muslims on campus. Our main goals are to:

  1. Provide an Islamic environment for the Muslims at UW
  2. Raise awareness of Islam among non-Muslims
  3. Voice the concerns of Muslim students on Campus as an official body to third bodies

We achieve these goals by providing services and support for Muslims on campus, categorized into 3 main functions:

  1. Worship: Facilitate worship for UW students on and off campus
  2. Community: Provide a sense of community for students at UW and foster spiritual growth
  3. Outreach: Help members reach out to other parts of the community and raise awareness
